We all have ups and downs, and for me, writing poetry has allowed me to find a creative outlet in which I can truly express myself during my ups and downs (hence the title), even if the result is not what others expect. I'm aware that the experiences within this poetry anthology are very subjective, as they are based on my own experiences. But should you choose to read this book, you will come on a journey with me and understand a little of what has made me who I am today. And if you find solace in any of this, then I'm honoured.
