For him to say that the 3rd heaven was paradise , is to say this is where Adam was abiding in before he sinned and it was closed off to him and he fell to the outward world to live by it only. His soul was veiled off from the Most Holy place with God in the 3rd heaven that his inner man was looking to. When the veil came he lost this heavenly place of seeing into and was kicked out of the 3rd heaven seeing and now his soul had to look to the outer world for guidance and walk in the flesh only.
