Studies made by Sellers and Pato suggest that a phosphatase isolated from turkey gizzard muscle (known as smooth muscle phosphatase IV) can be related to an in vivo myosin phosphatase as the phosphatase IV binds well to both myosin and thiophosphorylated myosin.
