Earth in century C5 is a wonderful place to live. No conflict, no prisons, no famine, no overcrowding! It's such a wonderful place that it's unnatural. It's difficult to imagine that such a perfect place could be run by human beings. The world runs totally to the tune of Melissa. She is loyal to God, who is her father in all senses except biological. God's intellect is so vast that he can spin a story to lead his human followers in any direction he wishes. Some are more sceptical than others but God generally stays one step ahead. Another intellect, equal to God's, is needed if his true nature is to be revealed.
Waz values the life of animals above her own. Gilda, once Daniel's dog, now knows that Waz is her mistress. A second animal enters Waz's life and he plays a small but essential part in her efforts to save the human race. When Waz's security clearance is challenged, it turns out that she is a perfect human being.
Thomas, the ex-assistant of John, the archbishop of Nazcamp, has no easy ride. He repeatedly has to make efforts above and beyond the call of duty. His home life, that he keeps so private, is revealed when he attempts to team up with Waz and Harry, the paranoid hells angel. Can Thomas stay the course?
