Jeremy Carter, also known as "Jeremy Motivates", was born in Orlando, Florida where he was raised by his grandparents Robert and Victoria Bassa. His grandparents taught him to always put God first and everything else would fall into place. His grandparents became his source of hope, advice, and accountability. Throughout his teenage years Jeremy always hearkened to their advice because it always rang true. Sadly, around the time he graduated from high school, his beloved grandmother went on to be with the Lord. Soon afterward, Jeremy headed off to college with the little money in his pocket and the few clothes that he had. Although it was clear he was going through a very distressing time he kept his grandparents' teachings very close to his heart. He remembered that his grandmother always told him to "take the first step and God would always take the second one" and how he would never beat God when it came to opening the doors of blessings.
