Pastor June Jeffries is currently the senior pastor of New Life Baptist church in Apollo PA. She wears numerous hats like so many women do. She is daughter, sister, wife, aunt, god-mother, friend and Pastor , just to mane a few. She loves the many ministries, entrepreneur efforts, and administrative opportunities the Lord has provided. She is the mother of three adult married children and now the Nana of nine grandchildren. Like with so many grandparents , she has discovered that being a Nana is priceless. When she considered how things have changed from generation to generation and along with the technological enhancements , she decided that she wants her descendants to know more about her, and ultimately know more about themselves , then what would be printed on her obituary. She recalls how her mother , who is 86 years old, collects obituaries from home going services of all her friends and family . She herself has several in the night stand drawer. With the next generation she is concerned that they will leave the home going program sitting on the church pew. Her life has been lived with so many blessings and God has been so very good to her , more then can be shared in an obituary. She wants to do all that she can to en-power and encourage her future generations form a strong legacy of strength, honor and faith in God. She is not willing to just hope that they know they are extraordinary, she wants to tell them they're extraordinary! She hopes this book may incite others to be more intentional about their future generations and utilize what tools we have to leave a written, visual and even audible message to the future.
My prayer is that this legacy will help my descendants find their identity and their voice and use them both to be people of Godly morals and integrity. I pray that they always know that they are extraordinary, loved and never alone. Every life will be a mixture of sunshine and rain, but both are necessary to help birth a harvest from a seed.
