This guide is carefully grounded in common sense. Veteran's Administration statistics indicate that since the end of the Vietnam War (and the attendant end of the draft) less than seven per cent of the US population has entered the US military services. Therefore, it follows that over 90 per cent of the US population has not had the opportunity to gain the basic skills, knowledge and abilities needed to lead by way of the tried and true "military model", as it is called in academia.
