The proposed appointment alarms Lady Castlebridge, however, for the prospective candidate's rigid religious beliefs will bring her into conflict with the Hall maids' sexual dalliances with each other.
Even as she leaps into the fray to circumvent her husband's appointee however, Lady Castlebridge finds herself distracted by an old school friend and a class reunion bringing back painful memories of her old school days when the grand lady of Castlebridge Hall was too often obliged to lower her knickers for the cane.
