She majored in English Literature with a minor in history at the University of California, Davis Campus. Her writing background includes being a monthly columnist for "Classmate Magazine", an award-winning publication by the U.S. Navy, and as a featured writer for the "Long Beach Community News", Long Beach, MS. She directed children's, youth, and adult church choirs for forty-two years, authored three musicals for children and received the Prince William County Fine Arts award for her work on musical productions for the Prince William County Schools. She is an avid reader, artist, and musician. She loves cats, is a great babysitter, and hates broccoli. She has started writing her next book, "Mourning Has Broken", and lives in Madison, MS.
