In The Inheritance, Kent is hired by Olivia Campbell to find her missing diamond necklace. His investigation leads to her son, John Campbell, who is a struggling businessman harangued by his doting mother and taunted by the memory of his nagging wife. As Campbell's companies continue to fail he ventures into a deal with Chinese businessmen, and ends up fighting for his life...
