Dave's life behind a mic began on Armed Forces Radio. In the mid-1950s Dave went "pro" at a small station under the shadows of flying saucers in Roswell, New Mexico. Then it was "up and down the dial" from Dayton to Detroit to Tampa before settling in Los Angeles where he became the undisputed number one at the legendary KRLA during the station's premier years. He went on to rock, honk, spin, and giggle on other L.A. giants like KFI, KGBS, and KMPC.
The Hullabalooer had his own massive fan club, a nightclub named after him, and even a hit song written about him.
