Moved by a desire to use their talents and energies on behalf of those facing the effects of cancer treatment, the Beckers sold their full-service hair salon and set out on a mission to provide surprise makeovers designed to help overcome the negative effects of radiation and chemotherapy. Along with HOPE, a 36' RV rebuilt as a dayspa, they have taken their program to hundreds of women in communities across the United States. Part of the power of this book is in the voices of women who tell their own stories, whether as cancer survivors or as friends or family members.
