'Gradiva A Pompeiian Fancy' was written by Wilhelm Jensen (1837-1911) in 1903 and translated into English by Helen Downey in 1918. First published in instalments from June 1 to July 20, 1902 in the Viennese newspaper "e;Neue Freie Presse"e;.
