The truth of this story, however, can not be taken lightly. It reveals the nature of the spiritual battle that still rages in our day. It explains the problem of evil. It demonstrates the importance of faith in God and His Word. More importantly, however, it shows us that though we are under the curse of sin, the Lord God has provided a means of escape for all who will, by faith, trust in His Son.
