This new edition is more than half as long again as its predecessor, with original material extensively revised and much new material added. As well as providing all that is needed for the beginning undergraduate student, this textbook is also a valuable reference text for professional engineers and research students. A wide selection of demonstration programs allows the reader to follow the practical use of the methods.
