She made faces and inferences, and ignoring her sarcasm Carrie replied,

However, a week later, after her parents had grounded her, she came to Carrie with a blinding smile and a pack of biscuits and acting ever so warm said she had decided this was a good idea.
Although Carrie didn't like anything about Laurie, she would be her entrance into the world of school royalty. For as the Best Friend of Queen Laurie she would no longer be a nerd, but a somebody.
