The author is a senior consultant in pain medicine practising in the United Kingdom and isconsulted by thousands of chronic pain patients every year. He has won many educational awards including a national innovative award in pain medicine. One of his innovations is published in the list of examples of excellence by the Faculty of Pain Medicine, London.
