Our Reptilian Righter of Wrongs leads the uncompromising campaign for justice and fair play across the world, spreading a 'green message' to an effort to protect the planet.
Assisting him are the RAKES: Tina Termite, ex-Cuban gun moll, Merc Magpie former Middle Eastern mercenary, enigmatic computer hacking Oriental insect Loti Locust; whiz kid rodent, ex-leader of the Italian Bad Cheese Gang Marco Mortadella, and French spider extraordinaire Jacques Webb- an international band of "unique creatures, that all had a shady past and unpopularity as disliked species - BUT- thanks to a break from Jake, they toe the line now with the Slithery Samaritan as their mentor. They 'Snake, Rattle 'n Roll' in the amazing Viperwagen from the Equatree Control Tower on Reptisland, off to a different country in the past, present or future, wherever a call on the Viperline takes them, to solve any crooked crime in need of quashing.

Every good hero deserves a bad villain. Jake's main mission is to curb the global misdeeds perpetrated by the murky Mongoose Militia, under the leadership of the 'Demented Duo': treacherous Mama Tallulah and her maniac son Toulouse Mongoose, with his Henchmen: stinky Skunko Punko, heavyweight Rock the Croc, and the insidious hyena Laughing Boy, who plan death and destruction to take over the world. With the reappearance of the despicable Mad Adder, Jake and the Rakes face a greater dilemma against law and order.
"Mad Adder ranks highest on the Most Wanted Criminals List--even a step "above Mama Tallulah and Toulouse Mongoose! This vicious enemy of the people has a track record of terrorism and despicable* crimes as long as his own slithery shape. He has been in a high security prison, where a life sentence was underway for a string of grotesque* crimes committed by this evil embarrassment to the society of worldwide snakes for many years. The revenge running in his veins is full of venom*; starting up a crooked life of crime once again to destroy a law abiding Snake like Jake sounds like just what the Doctor of Death ordered. He has even got plans to annihilate* the Mongoose Militia along with the world...when he gets his act together since his escape! Jake knows that Mad Adder is a force he'll have to reckon* with now that he's "free and floating round the earth in one of his many magical disguises, out to trick and terrorize any and all inhabitants on the planet, in his bid to take over the world and set it in his own darkness!"
