Analysis of data from an observational study is guided by the study protocol, although exploratory data analysis may by useful for generating new hypotheses. The book gives the student a sound introduction into modern econometrics. The student obtains a solid understanding of econometric methods and an active training in econometrics as it is applied in practice.
