I attribute the spread of seditious doctrines to him personally in a greater degree than to any other single individual in Bengal, or possibly in India." Ideas espoused in "Bande Mataram" Newspaper inspired the Boycott, Swadeshi and Passive Resistance movement that were later instrumental in liberating India from the tyrannical British Government.
