A door appeared in front of them and they ran through it to find themselves in Sengoku Japan. The children are all adopted by some of the most important families of the time period and Kit meets Mitsuhide Akechi. Mitsuhide protects the new Akechi princess for the four years she is there with him until she is called up for service as a lady in waiting. She is beaten and broken when she finds her way back to the doorway and she has to leave the place she called home.Eleven years go by and Kit has no memory of where they were the four years they were missing but with the help of her new adopted brother Nick she is able to find out and she begins to remember.
