Disney magic is the result of performances by over 60,000 cast members playing their various roles in a repetitive show that runs 365-days per year. That many normal people doing their special performances over and over can, and does, lead to injuries and illnesses. It was the Disney Doc's role to take care of those cast members and their maladies, while trying to make all of that care invisible to guests.
