In India not much work has been done in the field of geomorphology. The book deals with and introducation to the location and salient features of the region under study. A detailed account of the geology of the Sonar-Bearma Basin has been given along with the endogenic forces and their geomorphic expression. The work includes and account of geomorphic processes and their analysis as well as a morphometric analysis. A detailed study of draingane, slopes and erosion surfaces has been dealt with in this book. The fluvial geomorphic cycle of the region, the fluvial erosion and its effects on the underlying rocks have also been discussed. The final chapters deal with geomorphic regions and effect of geomorphology on the human life of the region in detail. An extremely valuable work for geographers, researcher, regic planners and administrators.
