Siegmund Brandt war Experimentalphysiker an der Universität Siegen, Aktivität im ALEPH-Experiment am CERN, Autor zahlreicher Bücher u.a. zur klassischen Physik, Quantenmechanik und Datenanalyse. Hans Dieter Dahmen, theoretischer Teilchenphysiker in Siegen, befasste sich mit Schwachen Wechselwirkungen und Vielteilchenphysik, schrieb Physikbücher zusammen mit S. Brandt. Claus Grupen, arbeitete auf dem Gebiet der Teilchenphysik und Astroteilchenphysik. Autor zahlreicher Bücher zur Physik und zum Strahlenschutz, schrieb auch Beiträge zur Kunst.
