The present work aims at engineers and scientists in the field of computational mechanics of materials. Firstly, a systematical investigation on the mechanic behaviors of an austenitic stainless steel is carried out. The proposed constitutive model is implemented into FEM code ABAQUS. Finally a computational fatigue analysis methodology is proposed for performing life prediction of notched components based on elastic-plastic computation.
