Dr. Hamilton discovered that even the most powerful surgeries and medications may not be affective without this powerful tool. This book uses her story as well as many others as examples to go from surviving to thriving and transforming through the lens of a curiosity mindset. Curiosity, she believes, when it matures in a healthy way is what unlocks the power that is in all of us to be and do all the things we dream of doing and makes us unstoppable. Curiosity, the most primitive mental capacity we have and starts in infancy and through life and other things is gets stripped away and people began thinking in the I can't mentality instead of the how can I mentality. This switch in the mindset is the key she found to sustainable weight loss or any long term health condition people are struggling with.

Dr. Franchell Hamilton is a board certified bariatric surgeon passionate about helping those who struggle with weight gain. She loves helping patients transform to live healthier and better lives through different aspects of change mixed with medicine. She like her readers has also gone through her own journeys, some of which are described in this book. She continues to transform to become a better version of herself by using curiosity and wants others to be able to do it also.
