Two very different soldiers become the first survivors and witnesses to the attacks; Alvon Gargarm finds hope and purpose - despite his enslavement far from home; and deposed queen Ashira Aeshar joins the Dawnstrider crew while continuing to seek out who conspired against her and her late spouse.
