A long teaching career presented many opportunities for a positive influence in building character in the next generation. A versatile, self-motivated man, Carl has spent time as a roughneck, farmer, carpenter, preacher, marksman, military specialist, pilot, gardener, coach, and counselor, as well as a teacher.
