The author of this book has been practicing at a local university hospital for several years. Through her many years in practice she has seen many couples struggle with their daily lives. The problems that they are unable to cope with land them in hospital. Frequently there is a "snow balling" effect in discordant relationships. However, this if identified and managed early may be able to dissipate antagonism and hostile feelings that couples may harbour for each other which could become more difficult to eradicate as the relationship wears on and unfortunately, down. Due to time constraints , non accepting attitudes of help, non availability as well as costliness of professional help for couples of all walks of life, the author felt that a book such as this which is simply written and hopefully informative my be of some use to the reader.
