But, the activities of natural products can be optimized to a desired level by subjecting them to some simpler and logical modifications for their probable use. Recent years have experienced a resurgence of natural products for drug discovery in favor of synthetic drugs. Therefore, it is high time to focus on the world of natural products and find ways, which may be the synthetic modifications of the existing molecules or finding the new molecules to have new drugs which are far more potent and safer to use. The active natural molecules can also serve as starting point for the target based studies and consequently lead to development of new therapeutic agents.
