Bill Tierney is a Certified IFS Practitioner and the creator of the Compassionate Results Coaching program. Trained in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model since 2019 and certified in 2021, Bill brings a unique background as both a trauma-informed practitioner and a seasoned Ontological Life Coach. After noticing that his use of IFS had gradually shifted his work away from coaching and into therapeutic territory he set out to reclaim his rootsintegrating the goal-oriented structure of coaching with the compassionate, parts-based lens of IFS.

Through years of experimentation and working with hundreds of clients, Bill discovered a powerful truth: setting a coaching objective reveals not just the client's drive and desire, but also the protective parts that are anxious, ashamed, or afraid. His approach makes room for all of those partsnot by pushing them aside for the sake of performance, but by building respectful, compassionate relationships with them. His coaching isn't about pressure or willpower; it's about helping clients connect to the power of Self-energy and unburden the internal blocks to change.

Bill's own journey of transformation began at 27 when he got sober through a 12-step program. While the support helped him survive, it wasn't always compassionate. Over the decades, and especially through IFS, he reframed recovery as something deeper than sobrietyit became the process of restoring his authentic self. That belief now anchors his work: that true, lasting change happens when we release shame, reframe survival strategies, and return to the strength of who we really are.
