These factors, intertwined and deeply rooted in American history, that has contributed to a legacy of violence that continues to shape this nation's identity today, with the acceptance of violence, and more importantly, gun violence that challenges the aspirations of a more peaceful future. Even in the news cycles today, gun violence is constantly prevalent in society, with multiple assassination attempts on President Donald Trump, and recent murders of political leaders are further evidence that America is willing to make gun violence part of the political and social norms.
