It supports a streamlining of reporting not only within the system of the United Nations, but also in the cooperation between the UN Treaty Bodies and the regional human rights committees. At the same time, it preserves the individuality of the respective committees, upholds the protection necessary for the vulnerable groups which could be most affected by a streamlined and harmonized process. Based on a holistic analysis of state reporting in international law, this book contributes to the continuing reform process.
