Jose A. Ferreira received his undergraduate degree from the Faculty of Sciences of Lisbon, Portugal, and his graduate degree from the University of Sheffield, UK. He has twenty-five years' experience as an applied statistician and currently works at the RIVM, National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, the Netherlands.
