Christin Bonin created her vocal school Star me up in Munich in 2004 to follow her passion for teaching, particularly musical theatre, jazz, pop, and rock. Over 30 major prize winners between the age of 12 to 30 in Pop and Musical Theatre are speaking for themselves. Christin Bonin used her experience to develop her method for belting and published her method books Belt Voice Training and Singing Makes You Happy. Dr. Bonin wrote her PhD dissertation, titled The Broadway Belt: The Musical Diva and Her Belt Voice from Technical, Ethnic and Feminist Perspectives as a consequence of her nearly life-long passion for the belt voice. She also graduated in musicology as Master of Arts at Ludwigs-Maximilians-University in Munich and has taught at LMU and in various workshops and masterclasses. She participates occasionally in international conferences.
