For example, not only with respect to protests opposing to major development projects like "Stuttgart 21" it can be observed that the acceptance is an important indicator for a successful planning. This applies to land-use planning as well as to other mandatory participation processes (Fachplanungsrecht). By mainly focusing on legal matters this publication intends to make a contribution to the development of participation processes in land-use planning."
