Dr. Alma Y. Alanis received her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Advanced Studies and Research Center of the National Polytechnic Institute (CINVESTAV-IPN), Guadalajara, Mexico. Since 2008 she has been with University of Guadalajara, where she is currently a Dean of the Technologies for Cyber-Human Interaction Division, CUCEI. She is also member of the Mexican National Research System (SNI-2) and member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences. She has published papers in recognized International Journals and Conferences, besides eight international books. Dr. Alanis is a Senior Member of the IEEE and Subject Editor of the Journal of Franklin Institute, Section Editor at Open Franklin, Technical Editor at ASME/IEEE Transactions on Mechatronics, and Associate Editor at IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing and Engeenering Applications of Artifical Intelligence. Moreover, Dr. Alanis is currently serving on a number of IEEE and IFAC Conference Organizing Committees. In 2013 Dr. Alanis received the grant for women in science by L'Oreal-UNESCO-AMC-CONACYT-CONALMEX. In 2015, she received the Marcos Moshinsky Research Award. Her research interest centers on artificial neural networks, learning systems, intelligent control, and intelligent systems.Eduardo Mendez Palos is a Biomedical Engineer with a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Guadalajara. With a background in medical technology management, clinical engineering, and project management, he previously coordinated the Biomedical Engineering program at the CUCEI-UDG. I am founding member and past president of the "Colegio de Ingenieros Biomedicos del Estado de Jalisco A.C. Actively involved in the Mexican Society of Biomedical Engineering, He served as Vice President (2020-2021) and currently lead the Academic and Science Advisory Council. Additionally, he is the founder and president of the Guadalajara chapter of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society. Currently, he works as a Professor in Translational Bioengineering and serve as the Secretary of the Division of Technologies for Cyber-Human Integration.Oscar D. Sanchez is a computer engineer holding degrees from the University of Guadalajara. He earned his B.Sc. in 2011, M.Sc. in 2013, and Ph.D. in 2018. Since 2015, he has been a member of the Computer Department at the University Centre for Exact Sciences and Engineering. His research focuses on system modeling and identification, bioinformatics, optimization, and intelligent systems for prediction. Noteworthy contributions include projects related to sensor failure detection for engine prevention and maintenance, as well as the application of deep neural networks for disease detection, particularly in diabetes mellitus. Currently affiliated with the University of Guadalajara, he is actively involved in diverse research projects, primarily centered around health and motors.
