Hester Lynch Thrale Piozzi was born in Wales on January 27, 1741, or January 16, 1740, and died on May 2, 1821. She was a diarist, author, and arts supporter. She also wrote a dictionary, a trip book, and a well-known history book. People have seen her as a female leader. In Caernarvonshire, Wales, Hester Lynch Salusbury was born at Bodvel Hall. She was the only child of Hester Lynch Cotton and Sir John Salusbury. She was part of one of the most famous Welsh land-owning families of the Georgian era.
