The healthcare system in the United States is quite diverse and refined. It consists of healthcare institutions belonging to various niches and segments, ranging from entry-level clinics to large-scale multi-state hospitals. Each year, the national healthcare system carries the burden of some $3.8 trillion in health expenses, which accounts for 17.7% of the country's annual GDP.
