As Ben teaches Faith, they fall in love. She begins to come out of her shell and grabs life with enthusiasm again. She reads an article in her newspaper about criminals facing their victims, and believes this is a good way for her counselling plan to work. Her first session, taken by Jenny, with two pupils she knows, goes very well; the bully approaches her after the chat for more help. Ben and Jenny encourage her. With her new determination, Faith finally stands up to Darren, with a little help from Ben. She realises he is a 'Friend in deed' to her 'friend in need'.
