In 2001 he was awarded the Prijs van de Jonge Belgische Schilderkunst (Young Belgian painter prize) by the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels. In 2005 he was chosen by the French Academy in Rome to spend some time in the Villa Médicis. Since 2000, he has worked in Charleville-Mézières and Brussels.
