Livestock development through SHGs are, therefore presently on the limelight due to their immense impact on capacity building and demographic enlightenment in rural India. While the movement of SHG has caught momentum in many places in India, in Jharkhand, it seems to be in its infancy. With this backdrop of poor progress of SHGs, the present book provides an insight into the structural and functional framework of SHGs in the state along with their social and economic impact on the life of members. It also enlightens about the perception ofmembers towards this concept.
