The Baltoro Glacier (39 miles long) in the Karakoram Mountains of Pakistan is the second longest non-polar region glacier in the world. Deosai Plateau (Land of giants) with an average height of 13,497 ft. is the second highest plateau in the world. This plateau in Pakistan's Gilgit-Baltistan state is exceeded in height only by the Changtang Tibetan Plateau in China. In Lahore City alone you will find a dense concentration of Mughal Empire era (1525 to 1857) CE monuments, tombs, mosques, and forts. The marvelous Shalimar Gardens, Badshahi Mosque, Jehangir's tomb, and the Lahore fort can all be visited in Lahore. The Lahore Museum is one of the undiscovered grand Museums of the world. The Wazir Khan Mosque is another gorgeous example of the Mughal era mosques in Lahore. The Lahore fort stands literally next door to the Badshahi Mosque.
