Maggie is a young teenage girl growing up in suburban Alabama. A surprising, grotesque event concerning her best friend leads Maggie down a path of curiosity and turmoil. Despite her close relationship with her chain-smoking mother and reassuring father, Maggie ultimately makes her own choices regarding her circumstances. Maggie must achieve a delicate balance of both immense restraint and reckless bravery in order to protect both her best friend and herself from the ungodly people in their small town.

Autor

Danielle was a teacher for over ten years in Northern New Jersey and New York City. She taught high school English, writing, humanities, and design thinking courses. She also taught freshman writing courses at a local college. She received her real estate license in 2005 and recently rediscovered this interest. She has three children and previously published her first novel, Southern Veins in 2024.
