Eco-labels are becoming important market based instruments to influence the behavior of consumers and industries.The research examined households' willingness to pay a premium for environmental practices in a hypothetical market.The finding revealed that there is a market for eco-labeled leather products. Therefore; eco-labels could be used to complement mandatory laws and regulations for environmental protection.
