It is the story of a woman born in a small remote island in the Indian ocean to an average family but succeeded in moving from her parochial background to go places, earn two post-graduate degrees in two different and distant countries, and lived in diverse cultural settings, as student and teacher, and then entered the world stage as an academic and achieve recognition. But that is not all this story is about because during her life journey she experienced many challenges; first when she moved to England to further her education, accompanied by her husband and two very young children, to face loneliness and an unfamiliar way of life, as well as endure severe weather conditions and poverty. She also braved serious trials when she travelled to Australia for her doctoral studies leaving her family behind and living in student accommodation facing loneliness. She then took up teaching in Nigeria and went there without her husband but accompanied by her children to face an foreign culture and way of life, as well as scarcity of essential amenities, harsh and sweltering weather conditions. But through all the many changing scenes of life God's grace sustained her and ultimately transformed her ordinary life into something remarkable.
