Those that don't, offer you an opportunity to praise God that your husband doesn't behave in that manner, and the opportunity to lift up in prayer your sisters in Christ who do live in those conditions. However, the more of these 52 instances you encounter, the more occasion you have for spiritual growth. The scriptures given for each situation are not exclusive but rather interchangeable with other circumstances. So if one week's issue doesn't apply to you, you can claim the verse to help you flourish, regardless. As well, this book is not about how to have a perfect marriage but rather how to thrive within an imperfect marriage. As you move through the messages, ask yourself, "Am I guilty of this?" These matters are best addressed between partners who are devoted to Christ. Even then, although both are saved, not everyone responds to making changes in a godly way.
