Autor

Rachel Worden is the founder and publisher of Little Dandelion Press, an inclusive children's publishing imprint dedicated to creating CVI-informed and visually accessible books for early learners of all abilities. Inspired by her daughter, Moira-who has Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI), KAT6B, and cerebral palsy-Rachel's mission is to make storytime accessible, joyful, and inclusive for every child.Through Little Dandelion Press, Rachel has authored the Habitat Series (What Lives in the Ocean?, What Lives in the Desert?, What Lives in the Rainforest?), the My First Alphabet Book collection, and several first-of-their-kind CVI-friendly learning tools. She also serves as editor and creative director for the Seasons Are... series by Amy Shepherd, M.Ed., and other contributing authors-helping shape each title's visual and linguistic accessibility through her expertise in CVI-informed design.Rachel's books are featured in classrooms, therapy centers, and homes worldwide and are part of the NAPA Center's CVI Kit, supporting children with visual impairments and sensory needs across multiple continents. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the KAT6 Foundation, advocating for families affected by rare genetic syndromes.Rachel lives in Texas with her family, where she continues to write, design, and collaborate with educators and CVI experts to bring accessible stories and learning materials to life.
