This book provides insights in the study of weeds, both the theoretical and practical aspects. It is hoped that it will motivated and enhance the understanding of weeds; that it is a problem that needs solutions from agricultural technocrats and researchers and that weeds are NOT a sign of a lazy farmer - contrary to popular belief. Presence of weeds and a huge population to physically deal with them should instead be viewed as a sign of an agricultural system that is failing its farmers in this aspect.

Autor

An agronomist with over 30 years in the field of agriculture - firstly as a field worker then later as a lecturer. I have traveled to many rural areas and been touched by the drudgery associated with weeding. I hence moved on to study them and continue to look for ways to make it easier for an average peasant farmer.
