Elias Michan was born in Mexico City on June 4th, 2002. Due to rising crime in Mexico, his family moved to San Diego a month after he was born. As a Jew of Syrian descent, Judaism has been an integral part of his life. He has gone to San Diego Jewish Academy since the third grade, and is currently a counselor for Jewish kids for the KEN Jewish Community. Michan will graduate from SDJA in 2021 and hopes to pursue writing, philosophy, and psychology majors in college.
